Peter Ivey
Hi, I’m Peter M. Ivey, and I’m thrilled you’ve joined me!
While attending college, I often escaped life's stresses by running to the hills of Upstate South Carolina. It was there, in the silence and solitude, surrounded by beauty, that God began to whisper my belovedness over me and planted a seed that has now blossomed into Four Seasons Soul Care.
It’s been almost a 20-year journey of learning to let go of cultural “shoulds,” gaining the courage to say No to spaces that aren’t meant for me, saying Yes to spaces that I’m made for, and trusting in the love of Jesus when I inevitably stumble and fall.
I founded Four Seasons Soul Care with the desire to accompany others on their unique version of this sacred journey. I find joy in creating space for others to slow down and listen for the voice of God, to take notice of what's stirring in one's heart, and to rest in the love of Christ.
I am a graduate of Furman University (BA Religion), Denver Seminary (MA Leadership), and the Soul Care Institute. Currently, I am a spiritual direction apprentice at Anam Cara.
Apart from offering soul care, I love trail running, getting my hands dirty in our garden, attending live concerts, and playing soccer. I also enjoy writing! I am the co-author of Solo: Creating Space with God and co-creator of The State of My Soul. You can also find my poetry through my Substack newsletter, This House of Longing.
I live in Asheville, NC, with his beautiful wife, Becca, and our wonderful children, Londyn, Owen, and Miles.
