Marica Pook

Marica Pook-Follett, MD is an internal medicine physician in Boulder, Colorado.  She began medical relief work in Ukraine in April 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine. She flew to Poland with 10 duffel bags full of ICU medications and surgical tools, which were delivered into the besieged city of Kyiv, Ukraine. She also went to Lviv, Ukraine, and provided first aid kits and other humanitarian aid, and staffed a medical clinic on the Ukrainian-Polish border. Since then, Marica and her daughter Tatiana have sent six more shipments of medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. In May 2022, Tatiana, and other friends from law school, went to the Polish border town of Przemyśl and helped relocate Ukrainians fleeing the war. The mother-daughter duo is self-funded (with the help of friends and family!), and now happily runs Four Corners Relief together.
