Kathleen Delgado

Before joining GSA, Kathleen spent three years as a student doing campus ministry at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, then worked for two and half years in Mexico City helping launch student movements, organize events for students and ministries, and oversee ministry partnerships that challenged college students and the Mexican Church to serve the poor together through sustainable programs.

Kathleen returned from Mexico in 2008 to invest in her growing heart for Mexico City’s abused, broken and addicted by getting her MBA in international development. She returned to Mexico with a heart and passion for serving survivors of human trafficking and abuse in Mexico City.

Kathleen married Oscar Delgado in Mexico after they dated for six years. Through these years God has given Oscar and Kathleen the passion for prevention and restoration, mentoring at-risk teens, survivors and wounded people. Their prayer is to live missionally and to love the people in our communities in Mexico, from neighbors to the kids in the streets to those that exploit — that they would love, pray and see transformation. They hope to live with flexibility to follow God’s agenda no matter where that adventure leads.

Kathleen’s projects include:

o Running a national awareness campaigns in local churches and middle schools about human trafficking

o Working with entrepreneurs to create job skills and opportunities for survivors and sustainability for ministries in Mexico

o Hosting ministry meetings with various ministries to create support and self care and working together

o Training churches on how to help survivors of abuse

o Whatever other crazy adventure God puts on their heart
